Conduct:
Our class rules are based on respect. They help provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. If a student misbehaves in any manner, they will receive a red circle on their agenda that specifically explains the incident that occurred. In turn, I ask that you sign the agenda stating you saw the red circle, are aware of your student’s behavior, and have discussed ways to improve the behavior.
Work Habits:
It is imperative that students develop certain skills during 4th grade. Organization, independence, and work habits are three of the skills that all students must have. If a student does not complete his or her homework a red circle with explanation will be given in their agenda in the particular subject area. As you sign their agendas I would like for you to address, with your student, the reason for not completing their homework. At the end of the nine weeks each student will be given an O, S, or N in work habits on their report card. The criteria are listed below:

A= 90-100 B= 80-89 C= 74-79 D=70-73 F= 0-69
In the effort to prepare students for 5th grade and to teach personal responsibility and accountability; we are implementing the following policies:
- All classwork will be given a due date and should be turned in on time. Any work not completed and turned in by the due date (unless absent) will be subject to a point reduction
- In addition to teaching students to complete and turn in work when it is due, we encourage students to do their best work the first time they submit an assignment. Do not expect extra credit.
